Participation on Flatlands 2019

10/09/2019

Two group members have participated on 7th edition of conference Flatlands beyond Graphene in Toulouse, France.

Flatlands beyond Graphene has successfully established a platform for scientists to engage in fruitful discussions and exchange the latest discoveries in two-dimensional materials beyond graphene. This includes advances in synthesis, characterization and theoretical modeling, and the applications in electronics, energy storage, catalysis, and optoelectronics.

Nataša Vujičić presented work related to the impact of interlayer coupling on optical properties of atomically thin semiconducting materials, where properties of valley coherence and valley polarisation has been observed due to the spin-valley-layer locking state. Valentino Jadriško presented his work on the investigation of straining in twisted WS2 bilayers.
