Installation and testing of the Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser system was successfully completed on May 11, 2022.
The Coherent Astrella femtosecond laser amplifier with kHz pulse repetition and pulse energy of up to 7 mJ, together with two optical parametric amplifiers emitting in the wavelength range 290 to 2600 nm, will be used for ultrafast dynamics and optical microscopy research in the Laboratory for surface femtophysics.
