First optical maps @ 4.2 K

20/09/2021

Ana Senkić has successfully implemented optical mapping of samples at cryogenic conditions.

Our investigation of optical properties of TMDs has been recently upgraded with optical mapping at low temperature down to 4.2 K.  So far we had opportunity to measure optical response of layered materials in the broad temperature range from 4.2 K up to 500 K. Ana has fully integrated optical mapping of samples with measurement in cryostat providing us information of optical response of sample at low temperature limit. This will enable us investigation of spatial distribution of defect states (bound excitons) in CVD grown mono- and bilayers of MoS2 since they are present at cryo conditions.
