The main goal of this project is an advanced research on 2D semiconductor materials and their exceptional properties due to the light-matter interaction. This interaction does not only reveal the electronic structure of the material, but can also be an excellent tool for exploring 2D crystal structural features.
The main experimental efforts will be aimed at improving the current possibilities for specific optical response measurements, utilising already existing Institute’s expertise in sample synthesis, theoretical modelling and the application and development of new experimental techniques in the field of optics and femtosecond spectroscopy.
